Doggie Disaster

Our Fiona is very sick.  She was diagnosed with an advanced state of ‘kennel cough’, dehydration, and the first stages of pneumonia (not to mention about 43,955 fleas).  She must be pampered with lamb stew (to hide the nasty pills) and milk bones.  Perhaps even Frosty Paws.

She’s moved under the bed to hide from me, so I don’t put that vile leash on her again and load her into the car (which she does not like, at this point).  She sleeps but with very bad dreams that make her twitch and whimper.   It will take lots of love and tickles to pull her through the “shelter” experience.

She’s come to herd at our house on the hill.
We rescued her from a shelter where she’s been for most all of her 4 month life, and seeing her find her little legs and run through the woods for the first time was a magical experience.  She is mystified by birds, squirrels, sticks and other woods wonders.
